I rebuilt the Fire Mark Circle of Americas website as both a public history resource and a working publishing system for the people who maintain it. The project brings fire-mark history, auctions, membership information and newsletter archives into one manageable platform.
The problem
A specialist organization had valuable material but no simple way to keep it organized, searchable and current. Public content, member workflows and newsletter archives needed to live together without forcing volunteers to become web developers.
The platform
- Purpose-built content management. Editors can manage history, auctions, member information and newsletter archives.
- Role-based administration. Session authentication and scoped access keep publishing straightforward and controlled.
- AI-assisted newsletters. An LLM summarizes incoming material and scores likely spam before it reaches the archive.
- Search-focused redesign. Clear information architecture and better content presentation make a niche collection easier to discover.
The result
Traffic increased 87 percent in the first three weeks after launch. More important, the organization gained a system its own people could operate instead of another site that would slowly fall out of date.
